Pandora Leads Man To Suspect He’s a Homosexual
By Dan | July 13th, 2009 | Category: Ham, The Tunes, The WWW |Music fan Cal Nielsen was left questioning his sexuality after he created a Depeche Mode station on the popular internet radio service, only to find himself rocking out to Soft Cell’s “Tainted Love” hours later.
According to Pandora, which creates a playlists based on the user’s likes and dislikes, the track in question was selected because it “displayed electronica influences, a subtle use of vocal harmony, synthetic sonority, a pulsing beat great for having sex with men, minor key tonality and melodic style.”
“Pandora’s always been right on the money,” admitted Nielsen, who began to doubt his taste for women after his Tivo began only recording programs about interior decorating. “So after I create a Whitney Houston station, I’ll give this some serious thought.”
Friends of Nielsen stated that the soon-to-be-homosexual should not need Pandora’s detailed calculations to reach this conclusion, as the first station he created was for Madonna’s rendition of “Don’t Cry For Me, Argentina.”
